Trident Shrink Wrap

Monmouth County & Ocean County, NJ

Hot Tub & Spa Shrink Wrapping

A hot tub cover alone takes a beating over a Shore winter — waterlogged foam, torn vinyl, snow load on the lid. Once your tub is drained and winterized, we wrap the whole shell and cover so it comes back in spring ready to fill. Text us a few photos and the rough size.

What we wrap

  • Above-ground hot tubs and spas, with the cover on
  • Swim spas
  • Inflatable and portable spas left outside
  • Spa steps, cover lifters and side tables
  • Built-in spa surrounds and deck-mounted tubs, where we can reach the edge

Before we wrap

  • Drained and winterized — by you, your spa tech or your pool company
  • Power off at the breaker and not running
  • Cover on and latched

How we do it

  • Cover stays on

We wrap over the latched cover, not instead of it. The cover keeps its shape and the wrap keeps it dry, so the foam core isn't soaking up water all winter.

  • Crowned to shed snow

A flat spa lid collects snow and standing water. We build the top up so it runs off the sides instead of sitting on the cover.

  • Vented

Vents go in as standard so any leftover moisture in the cabinet can get out instead of turning into mildew.

What it costs

Hot tubs and spas vary in size, shape and how they're set into the deck, so we price each one from photos. Send a couple of pictures and the rough dimensions and we'll come back with a number before you book.

Add-ons, named up front

  • Steps, lifters and spa-side furniture wrapped on the same visit
  • Spring removal and disposal booked up front

Every job is priced from your photos, and you get the number before anything is booked.

Before we arrive

Nothing complicated — we just want the day to go smoothly.

  • We need clear, safe access to the item on the day — room to work around it and a way to get our gear to it.
  • Items should be ready to wrap: covers and canvas off, loose items removed, and anything fragile taken inside.
  • The tub must be drained, winterized and switched off at the breaker before we arrive. We don't wrap a spa that's still full, running or heated.
  • Need it closed as well as wrapped? Your pool or spa company can handle the draining and winterizing — if that's Trident Pools, the closing and the wrap can be scheduled together.
  • Moving heavy items, dismantling structures, disconnecting utilities, draining or winterizing, and specialized rigging are not included by default. We're happy to quote any of it as separate work — just mention it when you text.

Common questions

Do you drain and winterize the hot tub?
No — the tub needs to be drained and winterized before we wrap it. That's your spa tech or pool company's job, and Trident Pools can do it if you'd like the closing and the wrap lined up together.
Why wrap a hot tub that already has a cover?
The cover is what wears out. Snow load, rain and UV soak and crack it over a winter. Wrapping over the cover keeps it dry and in shape, which is a lot cheaper than replacing it.
Can you wrap a tub that's built into a deck?
Usually, as long as we can get to the edge all the way around. Send photos of how it's set in and we'll tell you what's possible.
How is it priced?
From photos. Size, shape and how the tub sits all change the job, so we look at yours and confirm the number before anything is booked.
